our story

Little Flower Barn, LLC is a central Michigan wedding venue that has been family-owned for over 110 years.

The Red Barn was built in 1910 by Ernest and Helen Faling, Mike’s great grandparents. The property was then inherited in the 1960’s by Vern and Choice Foster, Mike’s grandparents. They passed it on to Justine and Lou Fiorillo, Mike’s parents. When Mike took possession in the 1980’s, he transformed it into a three-story home where he raised his three daughters. On August 6, 2016, Mike’s oldest daughter and her husband honored the family’s heritage and held their wedding on the property, igniting a desire to create a permanent wedding and lodging venue for other couples. The name for the venue came easy, as “Fiorillo” loosely translates from Italian to “Little Flower”, and with 3 daughters having been raised on the property, the name fit. Early 2019 brought on many changes, Mike’s partner/girlfriend, Sarah joined the adventure. The two began collaboration of • remodeling of the Red Barn, with dressing suites and room to accommodate up to 17 overnight guests. • construction of our Reception Barn, providing indoor space for up to 300 guests. • and the addition of our pond-side amphitheater ceremony garden. All this work has given Little Flower Barn a lovely, functional backdrop for your important event. We would be honored if you considered adding to our history.
